The IIPC renews its website

The International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC), of which the Biblioteca de Catalunya is a member with its web archive project PADICAT (Digital Heritage of Catalonia), has a new website. The new site, available at http://www.netpreserve.org, is the meeting point for the main projects and international initiatives on digital preservation and web archiving.

 
Created on 2003, the aim of the International Internet Preservation Consortium, is to acquire, preserve and make available knowledge and information on the Internet of the day for coming generations throughout the whole world, promoting global exchange and international relations.
 
The Biblioteca de Catalunya is a member of the IIPC since February 2007, among 41 other institutions from national libraries, foundations or researching centres and universities, like the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, the British Library, the Library of Congress, the National Library Of China, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Harvard University Library or the Internet Archive, among others.
